Holiday Lookbook – Thrifted Outfits

Hello my beauties! I can’t believe it, Christmas is this weekend! This year has been a hell of a year, am I right?! All of the tragedies and the celebrities who’ve passed…it’s just been on hit after another all year and I for one am looking forward to 2017 being better for everyone.

So I know I’ve shared very few fashion posts on this here blog, but I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone and do things that scare me, so in that vein, I’m sharing a fashion post today! I recently did a YouTube collab with a few other ladies from the YouTube Mommy MeetUp group on Facebook, it was a Holiday Look Book, 3 thrifted *or partly thrifted outfits. So, I’m sharing the outfits I pulled together with items I found at a few of my local Goodwill stores.

Date Night (WIW)

Hello lovelies!  It’s Tuesday, woohoo!  I always like Tuesday, mainly because it’s not Monday and that means we are closer to Friday so YAY!

I told you in a recent post about how I wish I had more cute clothes to make What I Wore posts from and guess what?!  I’m slowly but surely adding more cute, fun clothes to my wardrobe.  Yay!
To go along with my new wardrobe, Hubby and I have actually been able to go on a few date nights this month, which is really a nice change of pace.  Up til recently we hadn’t been on a date in months.  Like, I really don’t remember the last date night we had before our Anniversary dinner a few weeks ago.

My BFF-Harmony’s husband had decided to plan a double date night for all of us on Saturday night so after spending some time at the pool that afternoon, in which I got a tad pink (damn me and my Irish skin!).  Yes, even if I wear sunscreen this is what happens.  Anyhoo…
After taking my sweet time showering and getting ready I had to decide what to wear that was going to be comfortable but not too casual and on the other hand, not too dressy.  This is what I came up with…
Comfy capri’s rolled up at the bottom, black wedge heels, sparkly tank and a sparkly arm party! Woot woot!
I was really comfortable all night and the best part is I felt great.  I was confident and sassy and felt like the me that has been missing for a while.  It’s nice to find that girl again šŸ˜‰
Now, here’s hoping I get another date night sooner rather than later!

Happy New Year 2013

I am spending my New Years Eve in my bed, all comfy in my jammies with my hair up in a bun. Yep, livin’ it up here! Hubby is working in the ER and my daughter and I are stuck at home. We watched the ball drop at 10 on the news and then I sent her to bed. She was tired and mama needed some quiet! lol

Anyhoo, since I have this quiet time to myself now I thought I’d waste some time on Polyvore! Woot!

I am envisioning this outfit for a Girl’s Night Out – this is something I would LOVE to wear for a night out and I’m not talking to the grocery store ladies! I very rarely get a night out to go to a bar or dancing or hell even to dinner with girlfriends, but if I did this is the outfit I would rock.

Girls Night Out

Stay safe lovelies! I wish you all health, wealth and happiness in abundance in the New Year.

Perfectly Imperfect…

I don’t know about y’all, but I am tired.

I am tired of people telling me that I need to change to fit some mold.

I’m not thin enough, I’m not tall enough, my hair is not the right color, length or style…

My teeth aren’t straight, or perfectly white, my smile is crooked…

My clothes aren’t the latest fashions, I don’t drive a nice new car, my house isn’t perfectly decorated and you are likely to find dishes in the sink.

We may not take over the top vacations, or have a lot of financial wealth…

I am perfectly imperfect.

I am healthy.

I am alive and breathing and moving.

I am just right as I am right this moment.

I have a husband who adores me.

I have a daughter who thinks I am the best mama in the whole wide world.

I have family who loves and supports me.

I have friends who encourage and uplift me.

I have a car that gets us from point A to point Z and everywhere in between.

I have a nice house, in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors and is safe for my family.

We have nice, clean clothes on our backs and there is plenty of food in my house to feed my family.

We spend time as a family every single day enjoying each others company and spending quality time together.

I have everything I need.  I am content with my life as it is right this very minute.  I am happy to be where I am right now.  I am BLESSED to be in this life.

Holy Christmas Nuts

We are less than 2 weeks away from Christmas! Are you all ready? All the presents bought? Wrapped? Christmas meal planned? Cards sent out? Outfits planned for holiday parties?

If you answered yes to all of these questions you are way more on top of things than I am! I have a couple of gifts left to buy, but what I have already bought is wrapped and under the tree…well of course except the gifts from Santa!

All of the Christmas day food is planned out. We are doing brunch in the morning with all of my family coming to our house. I am looking forward to that! Later that afternoon/evening we will have a sit down turkey dinner with all of the fixin’s.

I have designed my Christmas cards, but have yet to print them! ACK!! I am so behind!

We are pretty casual people but on the holidays I like to have everyone a little more fancy…I have no idea why I just do! I would love to wear this for our Christmas dinner

Or something like this…

How does your family do it up for the Holidays? I’d love to hear what your traditions are for this most festive time of year!

My Christmas Wish List

I haven’t made a Christmas wish list in a really REALLY long time…so I figured I would do one now just for the fun of it. I mean, who doesn’t like ‘window shopping’?!

I’m in a really wintery kind of mood these days with the cold temps in Phoenix

These are just a few of the things I’m putting on my wish list..What’s on yours?

Target Tuessday

One of the newest blogs I have found in the last week is fabulous but evil. and Tara does a super fun feature on Tuesday’s called Target Tuesday. Basically you post pics of stuff at Target that you are loving. It can be anything from Target; clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, furniture or other household items. I have a major addiction to Target so this is right up my ally!

So, that is my list for my first Target Tuesday link up!
